Eric Mouret took up the violin in Avignon, France, before pursuing his studies at the Boulogne-Billancourt Conservatory with Alexis Galpérine. A passionate chamber musician, he worked with artists such as Xavier Gagnepain and Hortense Cartier-Bresson. His admission into the Geneva Conservatory gave him the opportunity to pursue his passion with violinist Jean Pierre Wallez, and quartet teacher Gabor Takacs-Nagy. In June 2007, he received his Concert Diploma and in 2008, his Teaching Diploma.

Furthermore, Eric has received an Orchestral Conducting Diploma from the ‘Ecole Normale de Paris’, as well as an Orchestration Certificate from the Geneva Conservatory.

Eric wrote most of the arrangements played by the Camerata Alma Viva.
